STATUS QUO
A while ago, it seemed on the cards that Status Quo might be on the verge of a break up - after twenty years of rocking all over the world together! John Coghlan, their drummer, decided he'd had enough and left to concentrate on working with his own band, who are called Diesel.
Meanwhile, the rest of Quo were left wondering who could take his place - but they soon decided that Pete Kircher, a guy who'd helped them out a few times on session work, would be just the perfect person.
They started work straight away and now they've got a new single 'Dear John' and an album called simply '1982' out now in the shops.
Watch out for them because we reckon this could be a turning point for Quo who've often been criticised for sounding too same-y!
