STATUS QUO have reached the end of the road as a live act. They bring their 22-year touring career to an end at Southampton Gaumont in July after a full-scale tour of Britain and Ireland.
The "End Of The Road Tour" opens in April in Ireland, continuing in Britain through May and June to wind up at Southampton on July 10.
Francis Rossi said this week: "We feel that everything has to come to an end some time, and this seems like the right time for us. It's going to be quite strange, of course, and we do feel quite sad about it.
"But I don't think anyone could accuse us of making a hasty decision and we all wanted to go out on a high.
"Touring can be pretty tough, particularly if you play for about two and a quarter hours each night like we do. and it's also pretty time-consuming.
