Boogie on down, Status seekers!
AFTER AN ABSENCE of two years Britain's best boogie band, Status Quo, is back with a bang.
Accustomed as they are to success - Rollin' Home - is their 32nd hit - the boys were clearly anxious about their comeback single.
Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt tell me two years is a long time to be away, but after 16 years of gigging together it is terrific to be back.
"Rollin' Home has a familiar Quo sound about it," admits Rossi, "But we wanted to be sure that people would recognise us with our first record after the lay-off.
"The new album has more adventurous stuff on it." Titled In The Army, it is out on June 28.
Status Quo join Queen at Wembley for two big nights on July 11 and 12.
