QUO HEADLINING AT CASTLE DONINGTON

STATUS QUO are to headline this year's 'Monsters Of Rock' open-air event at Castle Donington on Saturday, August 21. It will be their final UK date this year, the climax of their 20th anniversary tour, and their first outdoor appearance in this country since Reading in 1978. The Donington_site has been enlarged for the 1982 concert, and the promoters are anticipating an attendance in excess of last year's 65,000.

The rest of the bill is now being finalised, and details will be announced shortly. Meanwhile, tickets at £10 each are now available by postal application to Wooltare Ltd. (to whom cheques and POs should be made payable), P.O. Box 123, Walsall, WS5 4QQ enclose SAE, and allow 21 days for cheque clearance. Tickets on the day will be available at £11. Applicants from outside the UK should send an International Money Order, including sufficient to cover return postage, plus an un-stamped self-addressed envelope.

The concert falls one week before the traditional Reading Festival, which again takes place over August Bank Holiday weekend (27-29). This will be the 22nd NJF festival, and the organisers expect to release the first batch of names early next month.
