FORGED FACES
FORGED TICKETS are circulating in the Midlands for the Nottingham Festival, the one day event headed by the Faces on July 22.
But this week Faces manager Billy Gaff, whose company Gaff Masters is organising the event in conjunction with Nottingham Arts Festival, warned that genuine tickets had a special chemical additive in the ink - and all those attending would have their tickets specially examined by a detector which would reveal the chemical in the ink.
"There is no point buying forged tickets because no-one with them will be allowed into the event," Gaff warned this week.
Official tickets are available only from the Nottingham Festival Office at Nottingham or Gaff Master's office in London's Wardour Street.
The bill will be completed by Nazareth, Byzantium and Ashman Reynolds. As previously reported the bill features Atomic Rooster, Marmalade, Status Quo and the Faces. There is a possibility that Long John Baldry will fly over from the States midway through his current American tour to appear with the American group he is currently working with.
