Hair-scare Rossi is keeping dry
STATUS QUO star Francis Rossi has splashed out £65,000 on a luxury swimming pool - which he isn't going to use!
Francis is scared the chlorine in the water could send him bald. And in the three months since it was built, he has only dipped his toes in once.
The group's leader spent a small fortune installing the 45ft by 15ft pool in the garden of his beautiful country home near Purley, Surrey.
But Francis has admitted he is scared that using the pool regularly could badly damage his trademark shoulder-length hair.
"He actually fears that using the pool a lot could send him bald," says a mate.
"His hair has always been very thin and fine. The only time he actually did use use the pool, he just paddled in the shallow end."
However, Francis is not too concerned about staying out of the water.
"The pool will add to the value of the house, if he ever decides to sell it," adds his pal.
