WHAT'S UP?
The low-down on the lower downs
STATUS QUO
Running All Over The World.
Introducing one of the most successful rock bands in Britain ever. They've notched up more than 30 hits (waddya mean they all sound the same? - Ed) and are the group that opened THE LIVE AID Concert. Who cares if they are supposed to have retired in 1985? They even played in South Africa last year and upset lots of people.
Status Quo started when singer Francis Rossi's dad said that he should either quit singing and help in the family ice-cream business or else. Now he could afford a billion, million ice creams.
