Wearing flared trousers could, of course, also induce severe mental illness. Victims felt strangely compelled to shake their heads, foam at the mouth and chant monotonous songs. Here we see Status Quo suffering from a particularly bad attack of Flaresitus, as the disease came to be known, and to this day they've never really recovered from it.
