Prince of Wales at Quo's live TV show
EXTRA GIG AT THE FAIR DEAL

STATUS QUO have added another London date to their massive 20th anniversary tour - at the new Fair Deal venue in Brixton. And one of their Birmingham shows is to be attended by the Prince of Wales, and will be televised live by BBC-1. The details are as follows:

• With their seven nights at Hammersmith Odeon (May 3-9) completely sold out, Quo will now also play Brixton Fair Deal on Saturday, May 15. Tickets are all at £6.50, and are available by post only - make cheques and POs payable to "F.T.M.O.", and send (with SAE) to FTMO, PO Box 4NB, London W1A 4NB.
• The second of Quo's two shows at the 12,000-capacity Birmingham National Exhibition Centre on May 14 will be a benefit, with all proceeds going to The Prince's Trust - and Prince Charles will himself attend the event. It will be the first time he has officially been present at a rock concert, and the first time Quo have performed before royalty. And a 50-minute live telecast of Quo's act will be screened by BBC-1 on May 14 at 9.25pm. The Prince's Trust is a charity set up to help disadvantaged young persons or groups under the age of 25.

The Quo tour opens on April 15 with six concerts in Ireland, and the extensive UK leg begins on April 23.
