STATUS Quo star Francis Rossi's 20-year-old son Simon is gay - and his guitarist dad says: "It's fine by me, he's a fabulous lad."
Simon, who lives with his friend Stephen recently plucked up the courage to tell his millionaire father he was gay and was amazed at his father's reaction.
"He had been a bit stroppy and difficult before he came out of the closet," says Francis.
"It transpired that he thought his being gay was some kind of a big deal - but it really doesn't bother me at all. He was really relieved when he told me.
"From then on we've had a great relationship. There's no more tension, we are best mates now.
"Stephen's fabulous too. I'm proud of them both."
Francis - who releases his next Status Quo single, Ain't Complaining, in two weeks - and has two other sons, Nicholas, 16, and Kieron, 8.
