TALES FROM Vienna airport - or there's a Quo in my schnitzel.

On arriving in Vienna to play a gig in Stuttgart, S.Quo were involved in a scuffle with the airport police, who were searching the band and quote got physical unquote. A mild bout of fisticuffs ensued, and the three members of the band - Rossi, Parfitt and Lancaster (John Coghlan had flown ahead) - were arrested on charges of causing a disturbance and spent the night in the local cooler.

The next day, their manager, Colin Johnson, flew out and bailed them out on sureties of £1,650 each.

As far as we know the Stuttgart gig went off without further incident. A date for the hearing has not yet been set. If they did it for the publicity, it worked. Quo not only bagged a lead T-zer, but also a front-page mention in the Sunday Times.
