STATUS QUOSKI are being enticed to Russia by Leningrad promoter Vladimir Rischkov (no, stop laughing, this is serious) after meeting them in Helsinki.
The band tell us that sales of Quo's "Piledriver" album had reached 30,000 in Leningrad... but aren't British albums only available on the black market there?
No matter, Quo, just off to the States and Australia for tours with J. Geils and Rory Gallagher, will go to Russia on an, ahem, "cultural" exchange basis. So who'll the Russians send to us?
