Quo star leaves lover for a model of 18

No 25 STATUS QUO leader Francis Rossi has left his long-time lover and fallen for a girl less than half his age.

Francis, 38, is secretly dating a beautiful 18-year-old Indian model, whom he met three months ago and introduces to friends simply as Page.

Rossi, who had a two-year-old daughter by his previous girlfriend, rock publicist Liz Gernon, was with his new love at the Montreux pop festival.

She stayed in the background, avoiding the eyes of the Press, while Francis and his re-vamped group went for maximum publicity.

Happy

But one fellow guest, who saw them at their hotel in the Swiss Alps, said: "They are obviously very much in love. They hardly left each other's sides throughout their stay here."

Divorced Rossi said he was deliriously happy when ex-lover Liz had their baby girl in August, 1984.

He has three other children, all boys from his marriage to wife Jean.
