STATUS QUO: 'NEVER TOO LATE'
THE QUALITY Beat gang get stuck in again with their second album in four months. A top ten hit - 'Something 'bout You Baby I Like' - has already been culled from the set and the chances are there's more where that came from. Every boogie banter, every Quo quip, in fact, every pun in the oven has already been cracked by cute critics everywhere. All that remains to be said is there's a lot more drive in their piles than most other boogie wop merchants plundering the scene at the moment.
Melody Maker said: "The body responds; the head doesn't... this album proves Quo are the strongest when they're treading familiar paths... is change really desirable?"
