Whatever you want...
IN SEPTEMBER, I sent for details of the Status Quo Supporters Club, with stamped addressed envelope. The details on how to join arrived quickly and I sent off my £3.00 membership fee at the end of September.
Even though the cheque was cashed immediately and my mother wrote a follow-up letter in early December, I've still heard nothing.

NOW. Before Fair Deal contacted the official Quo mob, your personal details logged in the fan club database were slightly lacking and, by some devious identity graft, your name and address were paired into one, minus street which must have made life difficult for any postman, however resourceful. But fear not - your membership incorporating card, badge, photo, details of forthcoming quarterly newsletters and info on merchandise offers, will be with you by the time you read this column.
Deluged by applications since the release of latest album 'Whatever You Want', the quo Supporters' administration been grappling bravely with the flow - an increase of 3,200 since September last year, bringing the grand total up to 5,200. Most memberships have now been mailed. Anyone else who's missed out, write to Fair Deal.
Same goes for people who've had problems with the Blondie fan club, operating from the same handy address, PO Box 63, London W2 3BZ.
