On the other hand, Status Quo's "Mystery Song" (Vertigo) could go IN at No. 1. This is a band we can rely on to pound out the Rock 'n' Roll we thirst after. We won't find Rossi, Parfitt, Lancaster or Coghlan deserting the ranks and, in ten years time, siesta-ing on the Riveria [sic] with Sir Jagger, Lord Stewart and Count Mercury!

The line "S.T.'s (stocking tops) showing, you really got me going, won't you treat me nice" is a cryptic reference to Parfitt's partiality for ladies, especially his beautiful wife, who wear WHITE silk stockings. He told me so himself. A hit.
