STATUS Quo star Rick Parfitt married his childhood sweetheart Patti Beeden yesterday - 30 years after they first met, and 18 years since they broke off their engagement.
The one-time Wild Man of Rock got hitched to bachelor girl Patti, 38, in a quiet, family ceremony at Richmond upon Thames register office, Surrey.
Last month, 39-year-old Rick vowed "never again" after a £2million divorce from his first wife, Marietta.
But yesterday he laughed: "About two weeks ago, we both thought 'Why not?'" And Patti beamed: "We were just too young before - but this marriage will be a long and happy one."
