Francis Rossi (vocals/guitar), Alan Lancaster (vocals/bass), Rod Lynes (vocals/organ), and John Coghlan (drums) recorded three singles for Piccadilly as the Spectres, before becoming the Traffic Jam (who also released a single on the label). The band was then joined by Rick Parfitt from the Highlights (who didn't get round to recording) to form the Status Quo in August 1967. See RC 89 for the full story. A grungy, organ-dominated cover of Jimmy Hughes' "Neighbour Neighbour" made the B-side of the Spectres' debut single "I (Who Have Nothing)", whereas their final offering under this name boasted a hard organ-driven cover of the Blues Magoos' garage classic "(We Ain't Got) Nothing Yet", as its flip.
The Worrying Kynde (a great name) released the equally appealing "Got The Blame", a bluesy uptempo number, as the flip of their only single, "Call Out My Name", in May 1967.
