Nottingham Festival (with Faces) is OFF
THE NOTTINGHAM Goose Fair Festival scheduled for Saturday, July 22, has been cancelled. The event was to have featured Faces, Atomic Rooster, Status Ouo and Marmalade, among others. All ticket money will be refunded to applicants at the source of purchase. The NME understands that it is now hoped to stage the festival later in the summer.
A spokesman for Gaff-Masters, co-organisers of the festival and managers of the Faces. told the NME: "We have been badly let down by a number of sub-contractors, who have made it impossible for us to organise the festival in time. Rather than being involved in a badly organised event, which might disappoint thousands, we have decided to cancel it."
THE FACES WILL BE TAKING PART IN THE READING JAZZ AND BLUES FESTIVAL ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 13.
