STATUS QUO. Not one golden oldie here, but four! And really they don't look at all that different now than when they exploded onto the charts with a song called "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" in 1968.
So, Status Quo not only have the privilege ot being among the top hit-making bands, but also one of the longest running. Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster have been playing together since 1962, but it wasn't till Rick Parfitt joined the group six years later that things really started to happen for them.
Perhaps this was just a coincidence.
