Sorry old Quo
STATUS QUO have apologised to the United Nations for appearing at Sun City.
In return the UN Special Committee on South Africa have agreed to take the band's name off the cultural register of performers who have visited the apartheid state.
In a letter to the UN the group "acknowledge that they have played at Sun City, Bophuthatswanaland, and would like you to know that they have no intention of returning to play in this territory.
"Furthermore, Status Quo both as a band and as individuals would like to take this opportunity to stress their opposition to the policies of apartheid. Signed Francis Rossi, Richard Parfitt, Andrew Bown, Jeff Rich, John Edwards."
