That was the Quo month that was ... October 2009



12th - "Pictures - Live at Montreux 2009" DVD released (UK)

"Pictures - Live At Montreux 2009" was released by Eagle Rock Entertainment in the UK on October 12th. The release came in three formats: Blu-ray (with catalogue number ERBRD5035), DVD (with catalogue number EREDV756), and Deluxe Edition DVD (with catalogue number EREDV758).

The Deluxe Edition of the release includes the full concert and interview footage from Montreux but also boasts the extended version of the new Biography Channel documentary on 40 years of Status Quo, a single CD of highlights from the Montreux performance and a substantial booklet.

14th - Quo appearance on This Morning (UK ITV)

Rick and Francis were interviewed by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on ITV's This Morning on October 14th, before the band mimed to an edited version of "Caroline" from the 'Riffs' album.

15th - Australian 2010 tour dates announced

Australian Quo fans could hardly believe their eyes on October 15th when adverts started to appear for Quo shows in Australian in March 2010 (including a sizeable ad in Melbourne's Herald Sun newspaper) as part of the "Pictures Exposed" world tour. The long-awaited return to Australia (the band's last visit was as part of the "Double Trouble" tour with Deep Purple in 2006) sees Quo play five dates:

Tickets started to become available via pre-sales on October 22nd with the bulk of tickets release to the public on October 27th.

17th - Quo concert at Casino De Paris, Paris, France

Quo kicked off a European tour under the "Pictures Exposed" banner on October 17th in Paris. To a packed house at the Casino De Paris, the band stunned the crowd with an energetic performance with an awesome new setlist, as follows:

18th - Quo concert at Lotto Arena, Antwerp, Belgium

Quo moved from France to Belgium for one-night only with a gig at Antwerp in October 18th. The 7,000-strong crowd were unfortunately not rewarded with the amazing Paris setlist, but with a more typical "Pictures" setlist, as follows:

20th - Quo concert at Münsterlandhalle, Münster, Germany

Another day, another country as Quo hit Germany on October 20th with a gig in Münster. Support band was Kansas (with Quo for the entire German leg of the tour) and the band played to a small audience of about 1000. Some fan photos from the gig can be found here.

23rd - Quo concert at Stadthalle, Bremerhaven, Germany

Following a few small German gigs, Quo stormed into Bremerhaven to play to a sold-out crowd of some 6000 on October 23rd. Some good fan photos from the gig can be found here.

24th - Quo concert at Philipshalle, Düsseldorf, Germany
