Last Saturday I saw the Quo live in my hometown, Vienna. It was a great gig (as usual :))! Frame and Rick were in the best mood, joking and communicating with the crowd. There were about 1,500 people, the hall's capacity being about 3000. Those present really were enthusiastic, singing, jumping and dancing as I have not seen for a long time.
They played the following songs:
Please forgive me, if the sequence is not 100% correct, I didn't feel like taking notes during the concert as you can imagine! During "Fun Fun Fun" and "Proud Mary" the backing vocals and brass came from a tape and the backing singers and brass players were shown on a video screen. Frame announced it by saying something like: "On Fun Fun Fun you also hear the Beach Boys singing. But they are very shy, so they preferred to stay in the dressing room and you can see them on the video screen over there ... Oh, all that's possible thanks to modern technology".
Light and sound quality were first class. It was not awfully loud, just OK. Only I would have wished them to play one or two more songs, they played exactly 90 minutes (including the encore).Revisit the November 1996 event list
