21st - "Pictures" tour booking opens for FTMO members

The UK Winter tour was announced mid-March with bookings open to FTMO members only (well, in theory anyway...) on March 21st. The tour is called "Pictures - 40 Years of Hits", referring to the 40th anniversary of the release of the "Pictures of Matchstick Men" single. Due to the German tour dates in November, the UK leg of the tour is split into two parts, a 5-week stint from late September to the end of October and then a 2-week closing leg starting mid-December. The tour dates are as follows:

27th - Quo article in the Evening Star newspaper (Ipswich, UK)

The following article, entitled "Status Quo set to rock all over Ipswich", appeared in Ipswich's Evening Star newspaper on March 27th.

"ROCKERS Status Quo are to play Ipswich's Regent theatre, it has been announced.

Promoters Live Nation said the Quo will visit 24 venues across the UK as part of their annual winter tour.

Status Quo's Francis Rossi said: “The 2008 UK tour is going to be very special for us. This year marks the 40th anniversary of our first ever hit single 'Pictures Of Matchstick Men.'

"Their talent is one of the most enduring in the industry and is consistently popular with Ipswich audiences. Their show is a great addition to our winter programme."
