17th - Quo appearance on "50 Jahre Rock" (ZDF Germany)

Quo made an appearance on a huge German TV special called "50 Jahre Rock" ("50 Years of Rock"). On April 12, 1954, Bill Haley's single "Rock Around The Clock" was released in Germany and became a massive hit - it is thus regarded as the break-through of rock 'n' roll in Germany.

Presented by Thomas Gottschalk, Quo performed a playback of "Rockin' All Over The World" (the 'Riffs' version) and other guests on the show included The Scorpions, Jethro Tull, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Bill Wyman and Roger Glover. An interview with Quo about this show may be found here.
